VentureBeat profiles 3D printing shop, Moddler

With the cost of 3D printers steadily dropping, new businesses are emerging that would have been financially unfeasible just a few short years ago. One of the types of new businesses we’re seeing are 3D printing shops that print 3D models from their customers’ CAD files.

One such company is San Francisco-based Moddler, and VentureBeat has recently profiled them in a great video we’ve embedded up above. In it, John Vegher describes just how the 3D printing process works, gives us a peek at his $250,000 Objet Eden 500V 3D printer, and shows us some of the things his company has produced.
