Now You Can 3D Print Pictures on Your Morning Latte

Foam art has long been a mark of only the best and most steady-handed baristas. Yet now, anyone with $1000 to spare can print photos on their lattes.

Ripple Maker allows complex art to be printed right on a coffee drink, including inspirational images and even images snapped by a person’s phone.

After an image is uploaded to the app or selected from the media library, printing takes only about 10 seconds.

The results are impressive.

Lufthansa already plans to use the $1000 foam art printer in its premium class services, but according to the the CEO of Steam CC, Yossi Meshulam, the airline’s buy-in is just the beginning.

“Latte art is one the most shared images on social media. We’re taking latte art to a whole new level,” Meshulam said. “When you put something beautiful in someone’s hands, they want to share it. That’s how we’re making a ripple on the world.”
